Two lights blinking, one after the other, forever.

What to look for: Red, green, red, green — about once a second, and it never stops on its own.
Why it works: The two big cans fill up and empty out, one after the other, like two buckets on a seesaw. When one is full it switches its light on and tips the other one over. They keep tipping each other, so the lights keep taking turns.
