Sun catcher
The light comes on when the sun is out and goes dark when it is not.
- 1Tap the battery, then the sun catcher.
- 2Tap the sun catcher, then the resistor, then the red light.
- 3Tap the red light, then the battery, and slide the sun.
NOW Tap the battery, then the sun catcher.
What to look for: Slide the sun up and the light glows. Slide it down to the moon and it fades away. The little grey disc is a resistor that light turns.
Why it works: The sun catcher is a resistor that light opens up. Lots of sun lets lots of electricity through, so the light glows. Slide it down to the moon and the sun catcher squeezes shut, and the light fades.
