Let the smoke out
Join the battery straight to the little resistor and watch it burn.
- 1Tap the battery, then the 100 Ω resistor.
- 2Tap them both again — that closes the loop.
- 3Watch the resistor. It only takes a blink.
NOW Tap the battery, then the 100 Ω resistor.
What to look for: The block goes dark and stops working. This is what the fat blocks in every other build are for: without one, the battery pushes far too hard.
Why it works: The battery pushes very hard, and the little resistor is the only thing in its way. With nothing else to slow it down, far too much electricity rushes through and the resistor gets so hot it burns. That is why every other build has a fat block in the line.
